It was a great game of footy and great signs for the Crows, despite the loss. I am not going to attack individuals over a 3 point loss in a 2 hour match with 38 goals scored. If we can play like that all season we might just sneak in the 8 but we'll see.

Johnson brilliantly finished off some great running plays by the Doggies in the last 5 minutes and got to have a career highlight personal moment in his 300th game .... a very deserving player at a very deserving time. If you follow Blighty's 'footy gods' theory the Crows could have had Scarlett on him and we'd still be talking about a 3 point loss.

Watching the game I thought that while Welshy and Huddo had their moments it was ironic both were absent when the game had to be won. Ideally they'd still be with us but on today's effort, the Bullies can keep their 30 ('ish) year olds and I'll take the kids thanks all the same :D
In between signatures .....

I don't really think a Port fan should say anything .Because dare I say it a Motlop may get sent back to North and one cornes lad should not play up forward .

IMHO Vince will be at the Eagles and perhaps shirley .
But whoever worked out the match ups down back should get a swift kick as well.

I agree with you, these days there are upto 10 coaches involved in aa AFL side, like a formula 1 team, alot of people are accountable for the decisions made today.

Was so impressed with the style of the game today! Brilliant free flowing exiting footy, this is the sort of game u would show someone who has never seen a game, sure we were on the wrong end of the result, but footy won today! Plus Brad Johnson has scored 1000s of points for me in fantasy footy over the years so ill forgive him, we still have the 97,98 prelims!

I was impressed with Bret Burton, he is not a likely type but he is becoming one of the best forwards in the game today! Always looks like doin something when in his area. I have been guilty of not being his biggest fan, but today im on the Burton bandwagon

Also Mcleod was always gonna be a luxury up forward, but when the goin gets tough how u can keep him from playin back, makes a pretty tough call for Craigy!

I would have thought Geelong had been fairly competitive in the last 12 months. :?

I presume FD88 is saying that the Crows do more with their squad than what names on paper would indicate they should ie. playing above themselves, compared to Geelong who are clearly the best team in the league.

Not saying i agree with this, but i presume this is what is meant.

If that is the definition then I'd say Collingwood well and truly has the Crows covered.

That takes into account Collingwood's 14 goals loss at home against the Lions last year REB?

Im not sure what was worse, Crows v's Bulldogs game or Melbournes display today, cmon duncs, both sides played crap, if you recorded that game today, after a reveiw you would have smoked the disc, never to be seen again.....
Brett Burton, crap, kicks easy goals, has no further input at all.........
McLeod, star, the only versatile player the Crows have.

Dont let your obvious bias cloud your judgement Buzz, was a pretty decent game. If you watched any other footy this weekend i think you will find it was better than a quite a few of the other games.

Duncs- Not sure about your Burton comment, played very well today but has a lot more to do before can be mentioned in the same sentence as best forwards. Lets see if he can do that consistently.

(I hate him,but he is a quality player capable of almost anything)

I meant as he is built like big bird and has an abnormaly large nose! haha, so i meant likely as in he doesnt suit i guess the mould of an stereotypical footballer.
Have been frusrated in recent years by his inconsistentsy, so havent been his biggest fan but yesterday i just felt this was gonna be his year.
