Alright here goes my "educated" guess

1- Geelong. Great depth to cover injuries
2- Hawthorn. Mark Williams back, takes pressure off Buddy
3- Collingwood. Youngsters look talented
4- Port. Hate em, but they go alright.
5- Doggies. Injury free year will cause teams trouble
6- Sydney. Underrated youngsters will go under the radar.
7- Carlton. Fev in a new mindset, Judd and Stevens to be in top 5 Clearances for league
8- Freo. Finally deliver on promise, Harvey will instill discipline
--------------------------
9- West Coast. Kerr injured, Priddis 1 year wonder.
10- St Kilda. Gehrig & Harvey to breakdown. 1st coach to get sacked this year.
11- Lions. Will upset some teams but wont win away from the Gabba
12- Adelaide. No leg speed, Goodwin & McLeod needed in engine room but will be up forward
13- Tigers. Always disappointing
14- Nth Melbourne. Lack of depth, off field dramas will take its toll.
15- Essendon. Knights 2nd coach sacked, Lloyds hamstring wont hold up.
16- Melbourne. History says 1 good year, 1 bad year but will rewrite itself this year as 2 bad.

Carlton in the eight with no decent rucks?
Saints to miss the eight even though Gardiner and King look like a million dollars?
Kangaroos to finish below the Tigers?

Interesting to say the least.

Priddis one year wonder??

If Fremantle finally produce their best (Which is unlikely) and "Finally deliver on promise" then they certainly wont finish 8th. Much higher in fact.

Which of these Sydney youngsters are going to impress us so much?

How Carlton going to win with no backline and a poor forward line apart from Fev?

To those people who have Carlton Top 8, I put it to you that Judd and Stevens doesn't fix our backline problems. We need a full season out of Judd, Stevens, Murphy, O'hAilpin x 2, Fev's brain not to explode, AND key injuries to other sides for us to make the top 8.

It's quarter time, Hawks up by lots. I know it's pre season but it just goes to show the Blues have got a looooonnnnngggg way to go to be competitive with the top 4/6/8.....

Not a good sign in any game when the other side has more than 70 points and you have yet to score a goal...

i honestly believe the cats will suffer a small premiership hang over and not have the hunger they had last year . Having said that i believe St Kilda and Port would have improved more and slightly over taken them in all areas . Brisbane are my smokey .

Time will tell .

I have always wanted to match wits with the legendary Tom Hafey. If you would like to be in our SuperCoach dreamteam league please PM me (see Hogg Shield thread).

As for Geelong lacking hunger this year I ask you as a multiple premiership coach if winning that first flag in 1967 was enough to quench the thirst of your ferocious Tigers. History suggests that first flag in fact stoked the hunger of a talented group that eventually went on to land three more premierships under your expert guidance. As you say...time will tell.
