Also, Jacobs was flogging Blicavs in terms of ruck contests but apart from Sloane Adelaide were flat as a tack and we got it out of centre despite Jacobs winning the majority of the hit outs. There was more than one occasion were he almost telegraphed where he was going to tap it...this was duly done with a a Crow running on to it.
Jacobs is certainly a little down on his output earlier in the season but I wouldn't use the word cooked. If you want to see a cooked Ruckman watch David Hale. His opponents have been running off him a fair bit in recent matches. I was surprised the Hawks didn't pick Ceglar.

My bad, it was Vardy I was thinking of in the Cats game. They had 30 disposals and 21 hitouts to Jacobs' 10 touches and 52 h/outs. Minson is hardly a gun ruckman and he broke even at worst with Jacobs last week. The big MCG, end of the season, Jacobs rucking alone....I think he's a tired looking man.
I think they kept Hale as he's more likely to hit the scoreboard with Gunston missing. Pressure on Breust to get something happening tonight. Been very down.
