The process involves spinning the patient's blood with a centerfuge (I'm not a scientitian but you get me drift) and this apparently promotes higher levels of oxygen. This blood is then injected into the injured area and this promotes more rapid healing.
Why has this practice been banned if it keeps star players on the field? Is the AFL obligated to implement every WDO directive? It's not like a player is taking performance enhancing drugs. For the record other players have benefitted from this treatment but it was kept pretty much house with the Chapman case being the most publicised example.
