I still reckon port will win Lade looks fit this year and is a quality ruckman and should do a good job on cox. I think port will have too much run and class for the eagles and also have a very good record at subiaco.

Port should win this game even being at Subiaco. Port match up very well against the Eagles and have a terrific record against them even through the good years (2005/6/7).

Port were ok against Essendon and WCE were good for 3 quarters against Brisbane but i cant see Port losing this one. The pace through the middle is where Port should get the upper hand.

Port by 4 goals.

Key Players

WCE
* Cox- Only has Lade to deal with and was excellent last week against Brisbane.
* Kerr- Was well shut down by Selwood last week and needs a better performance being the number 1 midfielder.
* LeCras- Was BOG for the Eagles last week IMO, Beautiful kick and was his best game for the club, look for more of that this week.

Port
* Lade- Needs to put up a strong performance against Cox otherwise he might be influential in kick starting the Eagles through the middle.
* Pearce- Played very well last week and is suited to Subiaco with his pace and run, needs to be shut down along with the Burgoynes and Salopek.
* Chad- Been doing a lot of talking during the week, lets hope he can back it up, is a key regardless, will he have a run with role? Or will he be a free agent either way needs to be kept quiet for Eagles to have a chance.

Port were pathetic. No forward structure = no goals. A long year beckons

It might have been a good idea if the Port boys had put more effort into preparing for the West Coast rather than crapping on all week about Dean Brogan, Andrew Lovett and Essendon. They left the 'creed' at home obviously and didn't show much heart.

As i expected but not by 50pts, alot of Power players not willing to put their bodies in & under the contest they'd rather sit out & wait for an easy ball & Abernethy & Dittmar just love that lazy Motlop, yeah he may have kicked 4 goals but his work rate off the ball ( when not delivered on a silver platter ) is non existant. So what if he kicks freekish goals, this games about TEAM not Motlop.
A few of his cousins need to take a good hard look at themselves aswell & win some hard balls.
They obviously can't read the creed!

Granted it was only a glimpse and I may not have seen it correctly, but did I catching him celebrating his 4th goal late in the last quarter whilst his team was 8 goals behind? Personally Im not big on that if so.

When things aren't going Ports way, they seem to throw in the towel quickly. Don't win from behind often.

Yes they didnt want it, but wasn't Carr meant to fix the lack of in and under players  .

Motlop is way over-rated and as for his cousins its not hard to sit out wide and get 20 possies and hold your place in the side while on 300k per year. P/ss weak Port!!!!

The Creed they showed before the game was insirational and then to watch the game was incipid.

Abernathy and Ditmar comments were ordinary just give us the normal coverage please 7.

To kick 4 goals in both of the first two games - how would you rate him ?

Embarrassing as any crap served up last year.

Even though he had a quiet game for North by all accounts, Wade Thompson has to come in, surely?

And what's the story with Tom Logan, Paul Stewart and Matt Thomas?

If fit, those three would be in my 22 every week.

Not pretty but always have a dip...

Simple Fact is WCE came to play Port did not.

Too much talk during the week about things that did not matter anymore and clearly were not prepared and took the Eagles for granted. WCE are not that bad a side and now Port will probably know that.

Too harsh on Motlop Overloaded, was the only forward who looked damaging for Port and he hardly got 4 handballs over the top.

Yoo must not get to many Power games NM and see hwta Motlop does off the ball. If you only watch the games on TV you are not in a position to judge his efforts. Off the ball he does more chasing than most and in modern AFL footy if,as a forward you dont chase and apply pressure you dont get picked.

Very harsh assesment of a very good player.
