I assume this is a cunning plot by Strawb to collect bricks to build a new garage or something?

You are very game Strawb if you live in Dog country.....

funny story about the Crows first GF appearance the Current Davis Cup captain John Fitzgerald's children saw that their whole street was decorated for the Grand Final. Problem was that it was in Melbourne and St. Kilda colours. Fitzy didn't think it was a good idea and to be on the safe side he let permitted them to crazy on the inside of the house to protect the windows

Well we are in form and got a very good chance. The pic is on the Geelong Advertiser website as well. I am slowly putting up posters in the bedroom window as well. Mrs. Strawb's will not let me paint the house blue and white.

Nup never heard that one, done a search of the net and neither has anyone else.

Ive found:

"Brawkk-AWK"
"koo ko koo ko rooooo"
"KuuUU KuUU KUUUK"
"BTRAAAWKWKWWWKKKKK!!!"
"Bok Bok"
"buuck buuck buuukcuck!!!!"
"kok-ro-koooo"
"Buk buk buk"
"Cocka-doodle-do"

Apparantley spanish chickens can sound like this:
"Quirri, quiri, quiri,quiri" (cock)
"car-ra,ca-ra, ca-ra,ca-ra" (hen)
"Pio! Pio! Pio! Pi!" (chick)
"CAR-CAR-CARROO!" (rooster)

Ive even found:
"MOO"
and
"KFC KFC"
and
"Kind of a sizzling noise when it hits the pan"

Took my search a step further and found:
"Looky here, son, I'm no loud-mouthed schnook.
This is a dog, not a chicken. Chicken's don't look like dogs. Who told you this was a chicken, son? Nice boy, but doesn't listen to a thing you say. You got a bum steer, son. I'm a chicken, not a schnook. You're wrong, son."
even:
"Lookit here son, I say son, did ya see that hawk after those hens? He scared 'em! That Rhode Island Red turned white. Then blue. Rhode Island. Red, white, and blue. That's a joke, son. A flag waver. You're built too low. The fast ones go over your head. Ya got a hole in your glove. I keep pitchin' 'em and you keep missin' 'em. Ya gotta keep your eye on the ball. Eye. Ball. I almost had a gag, son. Joke, that is."

but no:
"book book book"

I did a search for "book book book" on Google and came up with several entries for a NSW town, book binding and the Brisbane Airport but nothing about a chicken.

You weren't brought up in the country were ya Booney?
