Round 12: Geelong vs Port Adelaide

Postby hearts on fire » Mon Jun 09, 2008 6:59 pm

With yet another disappointing loss to the Power, i can't see much changing against the Cats.

I think the Cats will get over the line very comfortably at Skilled Stadium.

Cats by 60 points.

If Scarlett isn't right to play it will be a big plus for Port, but i think the Cats will win by 41-50.

Taylor will come in for Scarlo and I'm hoping Hunt will return to the backline also. Geelong hasn't been taking risks with injured players all year so I'm not expecting Scarlett to suit up at Cat Park. Hopefully we get Joel Selwood back also.

Port are worse off as we can cover Scarlo better than they can cover Chad AND Thurstans if they both miss.

Funniest thing i have read is the port team. How can they consider Lonie when he is and outside player and there toughness has been questioned. Port lift your game Williams you have lost the plot

One of two things will happen...

1. Port cause the upset of the season.

2. Deja vu.

I'm guessing #2 with Port's season to freefall out-of-control.

Even more than it already has...

Great to have Junior Burgoyne back and good to see Lower getting a go.

Good luck to the Power but it will be a huge task to repeat our win at Geelong from last year.

I'm pessimistic. Port could break the 119 point barrier this week, loooking at their recent form.
However, Geelong are not playing as well as they did last year, so it may be closer.

Ahh port thats crap. Williams its time for Westhoff to go back to the sanfl and Damon White to come in. Also Adam Thompson and Matt Thomas need to play. Port are too fricken soft at the ball. The bigger Geelong bodies are killing them at the moment.

Looking better in the final term ut we are only 3 mins in.

Gray looks good in the middle. Need more of himand Logan.

I would like to add to that, Robbie Gray has been really good in the last half. I think he may be a midfielder ready to go.
