AFL PLayer testing positive for a third time ?

Just wondering, if anyone has heard the story that it is believed an AFL player has tested positive to drugs for a third time

The thread on that was removed from bigfooty, after they (allegedly) were contacted by someone from the (alleged) club.

Largely, Syd, because the AFL are extremely sensitive to media (particularly online) portrayal of the drugs issue in general.

To keep the legal hounds at bay, we have decided to just leave this issue entirely until an official announcement is made by the AFL or a club.

Given this site runs (in a financial sense) by the skin of its bum and (in a HR sense) by part-time volunteers, I'm sure all can understand our decision.

Had a bit of a longer look at this today. Whirlpool have posted the statement of claim, http://tinyurl.com/33yyvn which includes all the comments which have led to the litigation. Makes for interesting reading, and it also means that the aggrieved company has ensured that the negative comments remain available for all to see.

XXXXX sent a letter to Whirlpool last Thursday saying it had withdrawn all proceedings in the matter that was to have been heard in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

In the letter, obtained by smh.com.au, XXXXX accused its competitors of criticising its software on the Whirlpool forums while pretending to be customers. It did not name those competitors.

But as of this morning, despite receiving notification of XXXXX's withdrawal last week, Whirlpool does not appear to have updated its users on the status of the case and is still accepting donations from them.

The mail I got was it would be announced today (tues) after Brownlow Night

Yes it will be Hondo. Hypothetically speaking, what if a player tested positive 3 times and was due to play finals or a GF, the AFL would have to announce it and ban the player, surely??? As I said b4, if this is true I don't see how they can't announce it immediately, I can understand why they aren't but surely it sets a precident, how long do they withhold information in the future, what about trade week if another club is looking at the player.
Assuming again this to be true it seems poorly handled.

Your wrong hondo WCE is the evil of the afl. They are the only team with problems and the only place in Australia that has drug issues. All the other places are clean and innocent......<insert sarcasim symbol here>
