Round 2 against West Coast

Postby X Runna » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:58 pm

I thought the boys went very well last night. To be able to rise like that in the last quarter was tremendous.

Brogan was always going to have his work cut out with those 2 guns against him, but he never stopped trying and brought others into the game. His around the ground work was very good. Westhoff keeps getting better & better, seems very hard to match up on at the moment. Ebert is on the improve, as are all the new players. Pearce seems to have his mojo back, our key defenders are getting better every week (watch out for our backline in a couple of years time), our midfield is starting to gel (turnovers way down there too), the defensive pressure was there for most of the game.

I love the 2 zip start to the season, but love it even more they are having a fair dinkum Port Adelaide crack at it. The pressure and quick movement forward are reminiscent of the Magpies of the 70's, 80's & 90's.

Keep it going boys............

It was a good win for the power, in that third term Port of last year would have rolled over and got done by plenty when big Nat got on topp. But the power hung tough and kept in touch and regrouped. Well done to them.

Super game by Port I hope they can match their intensity next game against the lions. If they do it will be a great game to watch

As disappointing as that third quarter was it was the way they fought back in the last that should be commended. Just out of interest does anyone know the average age of our side ATM.

Average age of the list: 23.32 - 10th youngest in the AFL

Average age of the side that played against West Coast: 24.6 - 8th youngest in the AFL.

Tredrea, Cornes and Brogan our only players over 30, with Carr closing.
