Carlos lines up for his fourth as the Tiges hit the ton ... wonder when they're going to stop quoting!!

Settles himself over the kick ... there's the siren ... and he misses

But who cares?!

RIC 9 . 10 64
CAR 18 . 12 120
But yes, it was a pretty pointless comment wasn't it?!

Was there for the first half tonight. Didn't see anything to get excited about on either side. Early doors, I know. Relton Roberts may be one to watch.

How bad are Richmond, Nason and Farmer couldnt get a regular SANFL gig last year and now playing AFL in front of 70,000 looking like lost little kids, she is going to be a loooong year for the tiges

No credit for Carlton after everyone wrote them off because of no Fev? We were in a no win situation here. If we lost everyone would have said, 'How can you lose to Richmond, you must be shite'. Since we won, everyone will say 'it was only Richmond, settle down'.
I was impressed considering our pre season form, good run and great from the clearences. If we can keep a good spread of goal kickers we'll be in with a chance in most games. Good to see Warnock get through a match also.

They'll likely cop an absolute hiding against the Dogs next week as well.

Carltons forward line plan this year is clearly to share the load. At time O'Halipin was fairly good, granted besides Moore down back Richmond were terrible, but still he was defintily serviceable for the Blues.

Hes the thing about Carlton, if Fev was down there last night be probably would have kicked 7 or 8. At least now they are looking at expanding beyond the one target.

All in all, glad footy's back, wasnt a ripping game last night, but Richmond did show some signs that they are capable at times, although there best is ok there worst is very very bad.

The good signs for Carlton was that Brock Mclean started to look at home, and with Judd to come back, you would think Carlton will get that bit better, are they capable of knocking over a Geelong or St.Kilda? No.

And yes Richmond will get destroyed next week if the dogs have the right attitude.

No credit for Carlton? Come on you've got to be kidding. Did you hear the TV commentators saying that 'maybe we can put the Blues back in the eight'. Ha ha good old Robert KnoWalls and Tim Lame - as Cyclopean as ever.

The reason why Carlton shouldn't get any credit is that for three quarters they were nearly as bad as Richmond! During the first quarter I thought both sides played some good footy but the last three quarters were complete and utter dross! It was almost painful to watch. At one stage the only way you could convert was when three Tigers ran into each other. It would have made the Keystone Cops blush or the Three Stooges say 'come on, that is too silly even for us'!

NO SOUP FOR YOU.

Yes mate Richmond are bad but a bit hard on Nason I thought. He gradually got into the game and kicked a nice goal. He would have to run around in the shower to get wet so you can't expect him to Gary McIntosh everyone in his debut game. Farmer was more disappointing because he's been around a bit longer.

You know the Tiges are in trouble when Bryce Gibbs looks an intimidating presence out there. What will happen to them when they play the Saints, Cats and Dogs. THAT will get ugly.....Sarah Jessica Parker ugly.

That is a terrible thing if Nason was 2nd best. He was one of the worst IMO.

He was lost, had no idea where to run, he was too slow, his skills were well below par. One thing i couldnt fault about him though was his effort. He worked hard to put a bit of pressure on the Carlton players.

But 2nd best? Come on! I know we played like shit but there were atleast 16 players better then him.

Worst on ground for mine was Troy Simmonds. I said at the time, and still say, why did we keep him and get rid of Adam Pattinson????

Good win by the blues. Happy to see Jarrad Waite back he played really well. And CK let off Ben Nason, he played ok. It's good to see him out there, he almost missed the season with that knee injury so he must be wrapped to be playing

During the second quarter when Richmond were under pressure and going through a fumbling fit in the backlines, the camera panned up to Damien Hardwick in the coaches box..

One could see it very clearly as he said "f**king amateur hour" and threw the phone down. Quite funny really.......
