Jobe Watson named Essendon Captain. Follows in dads footsteps. now he just needs the three flags and they will be dead even!

A great decision he is a fine leader. Not sure if he will win three flags but - going out on a limb here - I predict that Essendon will contest a Grand Final in the next three years.

I hope you're right fish! I agree, good decision for the future of the football club. They possibly could have made the easy decision and gone for a stop gap measure, but with Watson only just 25 when the season starts next year, he should have a long time to grow into the role.

Unfortunately, we don't get to play Essendon every week. :lol: I loved the joke about Watson being an approachable captain because he is too slow to get away from anyone.
