Booney, I think Stan means to set the saracasm detector on for his own post - his second paragraph to be exact.

I actually thought my second paragraph was pretty funny, not so much a one particular group, just in general a dig a some of the situations that have cropped up.
And as I was saying in my last paragrapg to come out in a book and admit to that is a big thing.

I don't buy the paper, so didn't get to read any extracts.

But here's one from online.

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/stor ... 53,00.html

I've never really been a Wayne Carey fan myself - but even so - does sound like he had a pretty horrendous childhood,
Which almost fits with someone who grew up around them,
Telling me many years ago that the 'oldest' brother was a bit of a loose cannon (In his late teenage years especially)

It's really sad to know kids are put in/through these situations.

I know some people are saying here's yet another 'feel sorry' for me kind of book from a fallen star,
I don't feel sorry for him as an adult so to speak, as I'm sure he had enough help around him if he wanted to 'sort himself out'.
But I really do feel sorry that as a child he had to suffer this kind of thing.
You get what you give....

Dutchy! How dare you suggest that any Crows player has done anything worse than receive a parking fine for a 5 min breach...

From the recycling bin, and just for REB
The reason he decided to play for the Crows and not the Power
Imagine this PA Half forward line
Carey : Lade : Stevens ...

So we need more police, should carry hand guns, and keep our wives, daughters, and girlfriends. locked up, because there is a culture of permanent immaturity and selfishness out there...
Seriously, I feel sorry for the guy, having read how he grew up, but at some stage of your adult life you become responsible for your behaviour.
He was a great footballer, possibly the best ever, but being a "star" doesn't mean you can do whatever you like - or it shouldn't..
