Saints vs Geelong

Our cunning plan to bring in Simon Hogan instead of Steve Johnson and to give the Saints a five goal head start has failed to pay dividends. Geelong lost because of our skill level ( ( without crediting the amount of pressure St.Kilda placed upon the Cats every time they got the ball ) (or lack of it) in the first half. The clangers made by top players in Ling, Ablett and Selwood were just unacceptable. Saints too good and what a match!

Kosi will have Scarlo for company
We are understrength in the ruck but King is suspended
Their defence will have to play a bit deeper in this match and won't be able to run off Varcoe, Chapman, Byrnes and Johnson
The Cats WILL take on the Saint zone unlike teams such as Port and Richmond
Taylor goes OK on Riewoldt
Harley has returned to the backline and he will drop back to assist Taylor in particular
Tudor may have taught St Kilda to play like Geelong but WE ARE GEELONG
Saints haven't beaten us at this venue for three years
This game will be won in midfield and ours is better
We put as much defensive pressure on the opposition forward as the Saints

Geelong by 44 points.

We lost to Port in 2007 by a kick and that was the best thing that happened to us. I'm not concerned at all. I would be concerned if I was a St Kilda supporter, because it is not a matter of if, but when they get some serious injuries. When that happens, we'll see just how good they are. Be nice to have Johnson, Ottens, Egan and Hunt etc playing that game (3 All Australians). Don't worry about the Cats. They are travelling along very nicely at the moment.
