Why Collingwood couldn't win the flag

Collingwood is all hype, if it was judged solely on performance, it would have been relegated to the VFA years ago. Port Adelaide is a winning club, its had down times, but that is certainly a small minority of instances. Collingwood has failed at crucial times throughout its history to stamp itself as a great club ON THE FIELD. It certainly doesn't deserve the amount of adulation/hype that it gets. Indeed the Collingwood football club is all superficial media "puff" with no substance, just like its number 1 supporter

so why start a thread all about collingwood? collingwood are the most talked about club because ppl like you love talking about us. you can call us chokers but port adelaide has finished runnuers up 35 times! but conveniently port power fans cant recall that fact when spouting off about their "success".[/quote]

We like to talk about how pathetic they are just like everyone used to joke about Queensland in the Sheffield Shield until they actually did something of note.

I'll give you the big tip & that's Adelaide were long considered a joke, until they won 2 flags.

only in the eyes of victorians and not look at them crying in their beers because no side in top 4, no finals in melb for consecutive weeks

but we won two flags back to back, this is more then a lot of clubs have achieved in the same period
