MOST OVER RATED an UNDER RATED players in the AFL?

Maybe its because like S.Burgoyne his best is as good as anyone in the league but we dont see enough of it often enough.

I havent seen enough of the roos to make that opinion of Wells but thats how i feel about Burgoyne. Probably 4 or 5 games a season he will play a chris judd like game (25 quality touches 2-3 goals) and not always much in between.

Averages what, 18-20 possies a game. Wow. Does 1 good 'magical' thing a game that makes everyone overlook the fact he disappears for large periods at a time. Everyone knows he's overrated except your biased self.

Agreed. It is easy to take pot shots but are you happy with Wells output to talent ratio Dutchy? He often gets spoken about as if he is in the elite class but rarely does he grab the game by the scruff of the neck. I believe others are more overrated than Wells but surely he has yet to produce what he is able.

For a young player, and he is still young, he is averaging 17 possies per game in a team that has a high rotation policy, also has a high tackle average and his defence skills are very good, what he does with the possession is quality, never wastes the ball...as I said earlier in the thread, look at the draft from that year and he is clearly the best performed...

Maybe its cause the Crows lost him to the Roos by picking up the Duck.....bit like the Grant/Schwass trade, Roos been on the good side of both

After 2day everyone at Richmond, Melbourne and Freo are overratted and kidding themselves to think they ought to be paid each week. Bring in performance based contracts and see how they survive actually having to work for a living. All are woeful!!
