excuse me!

I agree- there are 14 other clubs in the AFL to support (although you'd be mad to follow Fremantle, Melbourne or St Kilda...)

Yeah that's right  He only stood up to be counted when the game was on the line and when his side needed him most. Port certainly have plenty of guys like that. Oh, hang on :?

This is a Port Power thred, well I appreciate Port Power for giving me all the joy to see you implode and choke this season and all the laughs along the way in each fourth quarter you have played, for that I appreciate Port.

I also appreciate the chance Port has given me to bag them and watch them try to play with the big boys but realise they are living on the past, gee time to bring back Darryl Poole, and maybe Scott Hodges, Darren Smith, Tim Ginever, Roger Delaney.

For the last quarter fade outs, I appreciate the players for showing their lack of ticker and show us the real Port Power.

I really really really apppreciate the Powers fadeout in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter in last years grand final, for that I really appreciate them.

What's with all this love for Port? It's sickening.

Mal.... if they are different clubs why can they claim 100+ years of tradition coupled with their many SANFL flags? One minute they are a new club.. the next they have 500 years of history behind them... they change their tune when it suits them.

Of course Port fans will come in and applaud Mal but face it, your team is an absolute disgrace now. Record loss in the Grand Final last year after those fools Chad and Choco talked themselves up all week... now you consistently choke games at home in the wet when leading by a considerable amount yet your players and coach are still arrogant fools. Too arrogant to realise there is a real problem at Alberton right now.

Plus you wear teal, how can anybody take you seriously?!

Rooster Marty - well said about the teal, absolutely spot on, I mean when that sat down to consider the colours was Carson from queer eye for the straight guy in there, advising them of the colours, gee you can just see it now:

"Mmmmmm, guys guys guys, teal with bring a great spirit and an awesome Karma" Carson says go with that"

The board says a unanamious yes lets go Teal, then we will be taken seriously.

Also the board said, lets make a huge mechanical arm holding a lightning bolt that goes around the boundary before the bounce, that will bring us creditibility.

For that we appreciate the board members, for the creditibility with the Teal and mechanical arm.

I think Mal overlooks 1 issue consistent with a lot of anti Port people. Port won an AFL licence and this still upsets.

How Port went about it in 1990 is what still upsets. Most would concede Port had thoroughly earned the licence by 1997.

Gravel,

I dont think anyone really cares about Port having a licence as we now have two south aussie teams and some competetive nature in the city.

Plus if Port did not win the licence we would have missed out on all those magic moments:

1. The 2007 Grand Final
2. The choking during this current season.
3. Darryl Poole.
4. Tim Ginever, Roger Delaney and Clive Waterhouse siuting up in power guernseys at the launch thinking that they ever had a chance to play in the AFL, now that is funny.

I must congratulate you wise men.Never in a million years would I have thought a debate about a football club would have sunk to the point where the colour they wear is the most dramatic point you can make to attack them.

You blokes must have been the smartest in your class.

Demon68,I think you will find when you continue to make outrageous statements and insult others on here it will only end up with you peeling egg from your face.

I am a proud, passionate paid up Port (Power and Magpies) supporter.I can only hope that the club/s you follow give you as much joy over your life time as I have had during mine.
I can understand why you blokes are sinking the boots in,in the last 30 years you really have not had a chance to do that to Port Adelaide.Total SANFL dominance through the late 80's/90's,coupled with AFL entry and then an AFL Premiership must have stung, really, really stung.

As i think is stated on this thread, who has the tradition??? Magpies or the Powerless??? One minute Power supporters want to be seen as a different entity and then when things go bad you fall back on the magpies!!!!!!! MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!!! Magpie greats would be turning in their graves seeing the power perfromances being associated with there beloved tough traditional Magpies.

If they did wear teal it wouldnt be so bad but even though they call it teal its closer to turquoise.
Still not as bad as the Port Magpies who once wore colours such as rose pink and magenta. ;)
