The AFL and Matt Loyld.

Talk on the national game

The AFL and Matt Loyld.

To be honest the AFL is piss weak. And Domitrou and his make Adrian Ando are soft as. So a player came out and said something which 99% of players, coaches and spectators are thinking and talking about. Really he could handle that situation better.

He made a comment on the weekend after Murphy of the Bulldogs was cited for that hip & shoulder

Lloyd made comments along the lines of if the AFL isn't careful the fabric of the game could be harmed because players will stop delivering these sort of bumps for fear of getting games - and the hip & shoulder will be lost from the game.

The story is that the AFL may cite Lloyd for bringing the game into disrepute

They should cite themselves.

But the game is already in disrepute!!
I have always favoured penalties for those deliberately aiming to injure another player to "take him out" of the game, by charging at a player already bent over the ball instead of tackling, but so many marginal ones are getting pinged now, where you launch the hip and shoulder and the other player bends down as you do so.

they are already guilty of that, even the AFL couldn't afford the required penalty for the severity though.
