Give credit where it due Straw07, Collingwood never allowed Geelong to play to their strengths, its not that Geelong played sh!t, Collingwood were superb & showed other sides that Geelong arn't invincible.
Finally a side has dished out to Geelong what Geelong has been dishing out to them, aggressive, hard tackling rebounding football, Geelong made alot of errors because of the pressure Collingwood applied, for the first time in a long time i saw Geelong pannick, last night when they had the ball they knew they had to get rid of it quickly, they fumbled, turned the ball over with erratic kicking & pannick handball.
One of the best displays i've seen from Collingwood in a long time, i hope they can continue that brand of footy coz they proved to themselves last night what they are capable of, now they have to show it on a consistant basis.
Well coached by Micky Malthouse.

yes Collingwood played good and they did a top effort but if geelong had of played to how good that they are it would have been a different game.

Thats footy, Geelong thought it was just going to happen but fell on their ass.
They've shown 2 things so far Geelong, how good they are when its all going well for them & also how bad they are when a side matches or outplays them with higher intensity. Proved they are vulnerable.

four grand finals................now thats a dynasty!! and until you blokes have achieved anything like it dont rate yourselves up with the greats coz for many many many years you where crap and nothing more than an AFL/VFL whipping boy only there to make up numbers.........

now thats a fact....like it or not!!!.....

Seeing as you are such a factual poster I'd like you to point out which Geelong person suggested the current side is in the process of building a dynasty? I'd also like to know when we were whipping boys making up the numbers. As far as I am aware our club has never finished lower than 12th in our 149 year history. We haven't won a spoon for 50 years and one of our wooden spoons was earnt when the War was on and the Cats were about to go into hiatus, we lost gun forward Lindsay White to South Melbourne during this time. We don't need ill informed Port supporters carping on about non existent 'facts' either to define the meaning of the word dynasty. Perhaps you'd like to point out how we are finished for the year just because we have lost for the first time in THIRTEEN MATCHES.

If you want to talk about whipping boys I can only say to you that I have 119 reasons to smile, despie the loss on Friday night. NEXT!!

Interesting Fact is last year is the only true success you have enjoyed in many many years............................now that is a fact............

but the other interesting fact is most Geelong supporters on this site carry on like
first class Galahs!!.....sure you won the flag, sure you played magnificent footy..........and you well and truelly deserved your victory.....

but remind me REB when was your last flag prior to last year??.....

might be worthwhile remembering that being humble in victory is as important being humble in defeat, a quality very few of your supporters have..

Timmeh, I don't recall too many Geelong supporters stepping outside their compass- they've endured too many years of heartbreak & being in the wilderness to carry on when they finally did win one.
The only emotion I saw from Geelong supporters was relief!
& I think your comment of "when did you last win a flag?" smacks of "5hit, I'm getting beaten with facts, I'll play the only card their is, again"...

as a Collingwood supporter, no.
Does Geelong's lack of success boost your ego- it might, being that Tim Evans was an ex-cat....
As for facts, try using them yourself- show us where Cats supporters have been carrying on about Dynastys & pork chops in genera?l...

Fact timmy was an ex Cat as was Dwayne Russell (magpies first) so wots the problem with that???..............Timmy went on the become one of the great full forwards in SANFL history and a multiple Premiership Player....

my point is and was no doubt Geelong have and are the benchmark for the AFL....currently......
but in previous years havent enjoyed the same level of success .......last year was a well deserved victory ......fact......

but they have along way to prove they are a real "Dynasty"..........eg Brisbane Lions .....three Premierships in four straight attempts..............

but some of there Supporters have and are not "humble" with their long awaited success........which i believe does do themselves or the club any favours....

as for being specific.....well the fishing good but not that good..............

Must you two blokes (Tim/HOF) continue to remind Cat fans as well as the rest of us about last year? FFS,they did win the flag,it matters farg all what they did before that as they are the reigning champions.

As for the dynasty talk, you cant back up which,if any of their fans suggested this and on the back of one loss you are suggesting a 'dynasty' is not possible? Cripes, you're making us(Port fans) all look bad,and more often than not we dont need any help.
