Bravo Mark Williams

Talk on the national game

Yates ..... intentional charge, off the ball, sole intent to injure his opponent .... if it happened today maybe 6 weeks?

Another discussion question - if it happened today and he got 6 weeks would we be up in arms ... or think it's fair enough? Sounds like that Saints player off the ball on Jeff Farmer last season = 7 weeks. I can't remember much "the game's gone soft" comments when that happened in 2007?

I'm all for tough footy but I don't think I need to see broken ribs or punctured lungs to feel its a "tough" game.

I think time makes us glamorise or glorify past incidents that actually were fairly ugly and ordinary if you take a cold, hard look back at them.
In between signatures .....

Obviously coach the same way, ie no thought or preparation looking at last year's grand final result too! ;)

How do you think they got their then genius, 22 home & away games a couple of finals I'd say a hell of alot of thought and preperation. Im guessing your one of those types who think you need a degree to do anything.

How did this thread go from being about Shaun Burgoyne's suspension and Mark Williams' comments to an 'all hail Geelong' thread?

BTW - anyone see last night's scores?

Quite simple, if it wasn't for Shaun Burgoyne and Mark Williams noone would be hailing Geelong as they still wouldn't have won a premierhip in our liftimes.

Crikey, its not like we're on the Power Board!

Bollocks - the Cats would've beaten anyone. Maybe not by as much, but anyone. Damn good side and a delight to watch.

And you don't have to be on the Power board to be off topic.
