Malceski Miracle

It would be a great effort for him to make such a quick comeback from a knee Re-Construction. It would be only 86 days since his op if he fronts up against the bombers. I just hope it doesn't put him at risk of doing it again. He will be a very important in for the swans if he does suit up.

This is just amazing, and could revolutionise the method in the AFL ranks.

Good luck to him. Apparently the new method makes the knee stronger and hence there is less scar tissue, just the mental anguish to get over. Oh, and in Malceski's case, a stomach bug.

I read somewhere it's been done for NFL players with great success. I bet those guys that are part way into their recovery are watching Malceski VERY closely.

Stunning recovery, if it works.

My sister in law had a recon 2 days after, she finally started walking without crutches this week (has had issues with muscle recovery) and is mighty peeved after reading about this in the paper last week!

I went through one myself about 6 years ago, wouldn't wish a 12 month rehab on anyone. Hopefully this technique can be mastered and the year long absence from football due to knee recon is no more.

Yes he did, after only 3 months. And that was a conventional ACL reconstruction - the type that most blokes take a year to get over!

Mind you he could probably afford to risk it because his career was nearly over at that stage.
