150th Birthday?!

More like playing like 150 year olds and getting beaten by 150 pts.

Bombers played some damn fine footy, alot of leg speed, some great skills, thought they were gone when Lucas went down but others stood up, Lloyd looks horribly horribly fit and if stays injury free could kick close to a ton, be intersting to see how they perform next week against the Cats

Reality check next week. Scarlett will own Lloyd, but I'm a bit worried about the Bombers pace. This might have saved Kane Tenace's bacon for another week and Byrnes will be retained as well.

The first half of the Essendon and the Kangaroos was one of the best halves of footy i have seen in a long time.

Very good too watch indeed.

Im a bit disappointed that the Kangaroos didn't win because it stuffed up my tipping but im happy to take 6/8 for the round, a steady round 1 for me.

I would say that Essedon will get found out when they come up against a team with a good midfield. Stanton was tagged out of the game and it was really only McViegh how got them going in the middle. Against the cats McViegh will get carved up if Stanton is tagged heavily again.

I reckon the Bombers have a great chance to knock off the Catters. Geelong clearly ran out of puff about halfway through the third quarter last week and if we do that against the Dons they might just salute. However, one thing in our favour is the fact that the Cats have had a ten day break compared to Essendon's seven. There is no doubt though that Essendon are closer to their peak than Geelong who will aim to peak around midseason.
