New Football Magazine/Inside Football.

Postby Pup » Mon Feb 25, 2008 2:29 pm

I have been thinking about this for the last few weeks and think there is certainly a market for a really good football magazine. I was reading a thread on another site on Inside Football and since i read it a bit myself was wondering what could be done to improve it.

Wondering on some peoples thoughts on what would make a really good football magaizine. SANFL and AFL.

What topics and segments would you like to see.

* 1 on 1 Interviews with players in both forms (AFL and SANFL)
* Other states news (TAC, Juniors, Tas, QAFL, VFL, WAFL)
* Country football segment
* Hot or Not
* TAB Odds
* Tipping
* Teams and Selections
* Previews and Reviews
* Stats
* Would you rather a Friday or Monday magazine.?
* Letters to the Ed
* Glossy or Newspaper style?

So if you had your ideal football magazine (SANFL and AFL) what would it contain??

Well, I reakon a Magazine which is SA focussed would be great, I've thought about somethign similar like this myself. I know some people on here would like a Magazine solely devoted to SANFL, but I believe if you had one with half AFL and half SANFL, that would be much better because that has a more broader appeal. And it would promote more interest to the SANFL from those who wouldn't normally take interest.

I think the present inside football is a fantastic read. I would like to see more on all regional leagues though especially the sanfl. Another idea would be to see the return of a magazine called football times - all about the sanfl and a cracker of a read each week.
