Sells need game time playing for the Bay A's first...Struggled to hold a position last year due form/injuries. The kid needs a big one in the SANFL and push for a spot in the latter stages of the year.

The only problem with him stayin @ SANFL level is that we ( the crows ) have a very bad record with the development of Key forwards !!!

I say play him and let him develop as a player in the AFL competition - nothing to lose I rekon !!!

Makes sense in the Sunday Mail then as he was hoping to get more practise in on golf during the year.

I think Kenny will go alright this year, after the talk of him wanting to leave and now staying he has to prove a point, plus he is one of the only remaining crows that can take a decent pack mark. Hopefully we will see him playing a bit more footy deep in attack!

With Welsh gone, Gill injury prone and inconsistent, I'd say McGregor if fit will definitely play his share of games this year. Theres not enough depth in the Crows' forward stocks to keep Ken out of the side IMO.

NC has declared his hand, I believe players like Tippett will get greater opporunity at the expense of senior players

If you dont pick Biglands and/or McGregor, who will you pick?

Booney

Maric's pre-season so far has been absolutely outstanding, IMO he will definitely be one of the two ruckman

Tippett, this guy is the bulid of a J Brown, he will be the one to watch this year, however not sure if he will play forward or ruck

Biglands will need to fight it out for the second ruck position or as a tall forward

My concern with Biglands as a ruckman is that he snapped the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, this is his jumping leg, as a result of the injury he may stuggle to get that leap back.

NC has declared he will give the youth every opportunity to perform, as per my initial post, IMO, in the ruck Maric, Griffen, Tippett and Moran will be given first opportunity at the expense of Biglands.

Up forward Hentchel will be back, Gill will improve after a full pre-season, Burton will replace Welsh as a lead up forward, Tippett and Sellar will get oppoerunities up forward and Bock may even play forward if Moran rakes his opportunity at CHB.

On Hentchel, even after such a serious injury, I am pretty confident that he will contribute this year, he looks very confident at training, playing at FF, he will be able to lead strong, it was his right leg that was damaged so he should still be able to leap and jump of his natural jumping leg (left leg)

Seems like a lucky dip this year, they could uncover a huge talent like Port did with Westoff last year or not achieve anything. We haven't been able to get a really good key forward for a long time, so I guess you have to make them.

Gotta be pretty well a lucky dip case here, and looking at the odds given for any Crows player to win the Coleman, it will be a modest total, making it an even closer contest.
$101 Hentschel
$201 Burton
$251 Bock
$251 McGregor
$501 Porplyzia
$501 Thompson

i think it will be a fairly even spread of goal kickers for the crows this year.
Hentschel, Burton, Bock, McGregor, Porplyzia, and Thompson will all be up there, but i can not see a stand out goal kicker.

I agree, one of the two,but at no point is he your #1,leaving a vulnerable (see below) Biglands as #1

Have not seen alot of him,but J.Brown's are rare, and often take years to mature.Tough call for Tippett to have an impact in first season.

Agree and agree, might see him play as a tall forward IMO

Moran is a big bloke, looks like he could fill one of many spots.See Tippett.

I would be more concerned with his mental approach as opposed to his physical state. They do work together, but in the heat of a contest I hope this guy has the courage to 'go in' as hard as he used to,would be a shame if he is lost to the game.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Saw Jason last Wednesday and looks very trim and lost the ass from a couple of seasons he has carried, Tippett has only ever played 30-40 games of football and to compare to J Brown in statue (mmmm whats that stuff you are taking), the kid will be OK but needs most of the season in the SANFL like he says himself.

In the star forwards what about B Moran, looks a million dollars, the girls will luv him but at Richmond Wednesday night, u could see the ankle strapped and bike shorts under his boardies, worrying sign and that could be why he has only played less than a handful of games in 3 yers.

The brains trust that chose him as a key player may get egg on his face like me, but to see what I saw in just walking around and not training is a real concern

Dangerfield was there and he looks a good size kid.
