I can see it backfiring big time - and in Richmonds' favour.
Also, there is talk about Carlton playing hard ball, it often comes back to haunt clubs at the negotiating table. If Carlton play hardball now, WCE may be in a position to play hard ball down the line, and with a player like Judd, it wont be forgotten about quickly nor easily.
Does a player have to agree to a situation where they finish up in the PSD though? Case in point, Nick Stevens. He specified Collingwood as his team of preference, the trade didn't happen and he finished up at Carlton.
So maybe they might not get him in the trade week, but pick him up in the PSD - which I don't think Judd has any say in - is that correct? What would happen if Sydney had pick 1 in the PSD? Could Judd go there?
