But my thoughts may be baseless, as I have no idea who has which picks in the draft.

I think your Essendon option sounds most likely. I dont think the Eagles would have any interest in Hughes or Schulz though, and as mentioned i dont think Thurgood would be the type they'd be after. And Toovey is not really the type of player they'd be after (apart from maybe as a direct replacement for Rowan Jones :D), his efforts in a few games late in the minor round were rated by many people as poor at best.

So how can Ben Hudson name his next club? :?
I'm not so sure that Judd has named any club, just that he wants to go back to Victoria...

He cant really name his club. He can cause the trade not to go through and then end up in the draft.

So why is Hudson saying he wants to go to the Western Bulldogs?

Because he would prefer to go to the western bulldogs.

Just a guess though, I haven't spoken with him.

He came from Weribee which is linked to the Bulldogs, I believe
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Bulldogs have assured Hudson of a 3 year deal, both Hudson and Judd can nominate their preferences of clubs but it's up to the club that tey're contracted to at the time to broker a deal with those clubs, if a deal can't be done then they're in the draft for anyone to pick up and their former club gets nothing, Nick Stevens for Port is a classic example.

Judd at this stage seems to be happy with a few clubs, which gives the eagles a bit of room to move and boker a deal.

As for huddy, good luck mate, might end up in the draft if the crows arnt happy with the deal, then he'll end up just about anywhere.

Apparently Hawthorn management apprached Judd's to seek out a meeting but were refused!! So take the hawks off the list, i guess he didnt want to go from one drug culture to another?
