it was a tricky round, the tip 8 in WA TAB paid just under $280!!!!!!!!

there were 3 outsiders that won, plus 2 50-50 games. anyone that got 7 like dutchy should be buying a lotto ticket........

I'm a disgrace, I got 3

I believe, this season is as open as any season in the past 10 years, and like Adelaide did in 97 / 98, the Premiership side could come from outside the top 4

footy is now fully professional, sides do travel better and it may come down to which team is fit and in form at the right time of year, a good month in Sept may just land you a Premiership

The West Coast and Sydney will still be very hard to beat in September. If the Crows get anywhere near their full squad back on deck they will be formidable also but they must rebound quickly and take a top four spot.

I reckon West Coast v Sydney looks most likely again, unless they end up on the same side of the draw ... Geelong playing the best football at the minute, but need to prove themselves in September.

Don't think Adelaide are a legitimate threat for the flag this year.

4/8 for me

How's Dutchy getting 7!! Well played ....

Average on the AFL Tipping comp was 3.8 so I am still in the top 5,000 there - but with 57 tips I am 10 behind the leader on 67
In between signatures .....

The tipping comp I run has about 30 participants and the leader is my 6 year old niece lol .. That pretty much says it all!!

Managed 5 on the weekend and was fairly happy with that, but Dutchy thats a massive effort pulling a 7!!

Well I wrote Syd off last year and they went a kick within the Premiership, the key for them is to keep their injuries to an absolute minimum, I don't believe Syd have the depth of an Eagles or Adel... and once again will rely on a full fit list come Sept

Sydney will also hope that they can avoid Adelaide for a third consecutive finals series..

This year is so wide open, if you can string a few victories together and minimise back to back loses than your a huge chance to make the 8, once their, if you have a fit list and in good form, well it is up for grabs

I expect Syd and Adel to go another gear in the second half of the year, and I will be interested in seeing whether the young Pies, Hawks or Kanga's can maintain the rage, due to the demandss of a long season
