I'm a Essendon supporter, have been 1 year longer than Sheedy has been their coach. My son is also an Essendon supporter, and that happened with no encouragement from me, mrs Ian and little miss Ian are both Crows supporters.
I was suprised when my son started training with Lockleys FC, Power guernseys certainly dominate training, followed by the Crows, but most weeks I see at least 6 or 7 Essendon tops, a couple of Collingwood, 1 Brisbane, and occasionally a Western Bulldogs top.

Didn't really know much about VFL until Kerna's and co went over the border ( thought Richmond was reserves side of Glenelg when saw on tv and didnt know players'). So I guess had a soft spot for Carlton. When Cows started I stopped watching footy altogether until about '94 when I decided due to mockering my Hawthorn mate at Lennies (still miss that place  ) one night I would follow Brisbane Bears. Actually we had a bet on Bears-Hawks game. From drunken memory the Bears came from a long way behind to snatch victory and the next week my mate brought me a Bears scarf- I had forgot about making the bet but from that day I supported them.
