Port should have been cast into the outer darkness in 1990, severed from the SANFL, and left to wither on the vine, for assisting the VFL to force the creation of a bastardised AFL with too many Melbourne teams in it. Once Port had set the thing in motion the SANFL's hand was forced.

WTF??? are we talking about the same team that played Collingwood 2 weeks ago. We were hopeless against them, Essendon in Round 1 and should have beaten a pathetic Fremantle and we are supposed to consistent. I don't think so. One good game against Brisbane is worth sweet FA and if we repeat our effort from a couple of weeks back Richmond will push us this week.
The news this morning Riccuito has had a further setback only makes life even more difficult for us - his career could well be over ala Nathan Buckley.

It could only have been Jack Oatey after the 1946 Grand Final.Psyber wrote:I still remember the story about Haydn Bunton and the boys painting the Black Diamond corner red and blue after a grand final and how thin-skinned and non-amused all the Portites were!

I think it was after the 1960 Preliminary Final when Norwood beat Port and put an end to Port's bid for a 7th flag. Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Yeah they weren't great against Collingwood and they have been a bit inconsistent at times but they have a shocking injury list at the moment so to be 4-3 and 5th is a great effort. They have also pulled off major upsets over the Dogs and Brisbane which is a credit to them, they were superb at the Gabba.. what a great performance. They are also the only team to beat the side sitting on top
