Luke Ball charged

Postby Mr66 » Sun Apr 01, 2007 3:55 pm

Luke Ball has been charged with 'reckless conduct' after his clash with Matthew Whelan on Friday night.
Since Ball returned to the game and Whelan didn't, the AFL has decided that Ball has a case to answer.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

The fact that any case is being chased from that clash is absolutely rediculous. It was a fair hip and shoulder, and the only reason Ball got his head busted open, is because of accidental head clash.

Ridiculous. Ball had no idea what was going on, he wasnt even watching! Unless he did something off the ball but he went straight off the field.

The AFL seem to have gone crazy at the moment. Not only this incident, which i would call a "contest". But other strange decisions. Eg today WB vs Geelong, Brad Johnson flies for the mark his eyes on the BALL.....and then steve Johnson from the Bulldogs backs into the pack to spoil with his eyes on the BALL....CRASH........WHISTLE.....free kick to brad Johnson? WTF last ime i check you'd call that a contest, both players with eyes for the ball. Oh well.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Intersting note that it was the Port supporters that got sucked in.......

I should be surprised but....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It's always been that you only have until mid-day to fool someone- after that, you're the fool.
Has anyone else "lived" by this?

Now we are past the April Fools jokes (yes its always before midday) have to agree with Stan - I hope to say that it is the worst decision for the year, because if there is anything worse we will be paying a goal for an out of bounds on the full at on the half back flank.
