To me the telling stat was that Hawthorn had more tackles - I know tackle can indicate second to the ball but I do not think that fits how Hawthorn played. I felt there were several players who went in beaten before the ball bounced and this mental attitude is the most difficult one for the club to address?

Agreed, I mentioned that before, how one side can have the ball 160 less times than the other and committ less tackles is a shocking indicator.
I've only seen parts of the match but Cassissi seemed like the only bloke willing to try in the entire team.

Cassissi is a class act, and what he does only gets recognised by people who watch the game closely. Feel sorry for him.

They showed some pretty damning stats on "The Fifth Quarter" last night. If i recall correctly:

Hawthorns biggest ever victory.

Only nine Port players had more than ten kicks.

Ports biggest ever defeat?
