So where is he getting traded?

Out of contract, no need to trade.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

if he wants to go to a melbourne club he will need a trade considering the three bottom sides are all interstate ones

Don't agree mate! The three bottom sides wont take someone who will already clearly state he wants to go home to Melbourne (this isassuming he leaves port to go home)...they won't risk picking him up

They'd want to show a bit more than they did today. They have 4 or 5 very good youngsters (Martin in particular, and of course Riewoldt), but I don't think they have the depth of other emerging clubs such as West Coast, North Melbourne and Carlton (and I can't see Collingwood, Hawthorn and Geelong slipping that much by 2013).

Get the feeling he's gone. Was one of the few genuine golden draft picks of the last few years by an Adelaide based club so would be a massive shame. Massive talent though. If they keep him he'd be a chance to be the player Port could build around for a decade.

I assume your talking about a Luke Ball and collingwood setup. Not sure that this would work out as teams would be using there best pick to get him when the draft is sloshed due to the GWS. I would have thought you would hang on to your early picks. So based upon that I guess its a trade. Although the best way to go for Port is to shop him around and not let him say, "i want go to collingwood, trade with them". Seriously talk to Richmond, Essendon, North, St.Kilda, West Bulldogs etc.

GWS would have to be a chance. Could move the family into the new country club.
