So you are a fool, or I just mistook you for one? ;)

No, I based my opinion on the fact there are two really good teams, and 13 crap ones. Carlton are in neither group.

They have a great mid-field, sound even spread of goal kickers, 3 reasonable quality big men, good defence.

Top four looks set. The Blues and the Hawks dealt with upstart sides in exactly the same manner Geelong and Collingwood did and both will be competitive in September. I still reckon Freo has a massive upside though but the reliance on Sandilands is to pardon the pun, massive.

The Swannies aren't going to badly either but just don't rack up top four scalps. Imagine losing three matches at the SCG. No top four side there. Last two spots in the eight a real raffle and anyone who goes 7 or 8 this year will be making up the numbers like always.

Bring back the top five or six I reckon.

They will finish 4th by default. The other 13 sides arent much chop. Big gap between top 2 and hawks/blues then a bigger gap to rest. We will see it this week when the hawks get whacked

Bit harsh. They've played pretty well without Kruezer all year long. They outplayed the Cats and did pretty well against the Pies also. They are 7-2-1 so hardly a side that is going to finish fourth by default. The Saints and the Dogs have lost the plot and the Hawks and Blues have taken the opportunity.

They wont get whacked, but cant see them getting up, with or without buddy. Interesting to note that the hawks havent beaten the cats since the 08 granny. They will lose this weekend, meet in this years granny and break that drought ;)

That bit I agree with. By default, I dont agree with that. Not their fault Freo, St's, Essendon,Adelaide and the Dogs have not lived up to many punters pre-season form.

Looking good at this point. Still need a bit of fine tuning. Bit sloppy early yesterday but was always going to step it up a gear. You could see it was imminent.
Just on a side note i have difficulty respecting anyone that doesn't have an afl team added with their name. Usually snipers and that is all.

My apologizes for having an opinion on Carlton. I think you have difficulty respecting anyone who isn't a Carlton supporter, or anyone who doesn't think Carlton is the greatest team in comp.

FWIW, Carlton have a good run coming up. Next 3 against interstate sides at home. Win those and top 4 is looking good. Injury list is minimal, but that could change quickly. Lot of fragile footballers at the Blues.

When I say fragile, I should of used injury prone. Walker, Jamison and Waite spring to mind. All are very important cogs in the Blue machine. I'm sure you can think of a couple more.

Fair enough.

Waite & Walker played 16 each last year, although Walker was dropped a couple of times. Jamo didn't miss a game.

Bower / Henderson / Kruezer / Houlihan are the blokes I'm looking forward to seeing this year return from injury...

Kruezer will be the inclusion the blues are after, throw him forward rotating in the ruck and betts and co will have even more of an influence on matches...
