Saw him get 50+ touches in the Maggies reserves against Norwood one day and knew the name McLeod would be heard for years to come. A true champion of the game.

Liked him even more when he broke up with Lleyton.

June 1994, Port v Glenelg at the Bay, "Who the F*** is this bloke" as runs around the black and gold training cones and slots another....

20 goal thrashing later...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Absolute Champion, one of very few players who could dominate in a big game regularly.

Did a bit of reading on Chris Groom. Was very unlucky to not be successful at the top level.

Obviously you didn't see him play !

ahead of ricciuto as the crows best ever IMO, he's been my favourite in the crows by far (mods and jars below)
absolute jet.
never forget that game he played against the Hawks at footy park in his first year, single handly got us the win. Knew he was going to be a champ then.
shame he couldnt play one more. sort of feels he is the last one to retire, so will miss out on a fair bit of fuss, probably what he would want.

what surprised me was that he won 3 x and B&F's and 5x runners up!!! and forgot he won a michael tuck medal, to go with his 2x norm smiths.

There was one game, pretty sure it was against Glenelg in '94, where he kicked six from half-forward.

IIRC, it was at Alberton?

Evident to everyone, except perhaps Neesham and Stephen Williams, that this kid could play a bit.

Willo sat him on the bench one day (against West, 1996?)

For the whole game!

Reading between the lines, it sounded like if he got all jabbed up etc, he could've played on the weekend, but he said no way would he want to impact on the team by keeping a kid out etc etc. A bit like what Goodwin said too. Well that's the way I interpreted it :)
