The game will be much better without pieces of crap like Baker running around. Sucked in to the little pest. He should get Johnson's 3 too.

You want to get rid of full-backs trying to stop full-forwards kicking goals too?

Granted ,I dont like Baker or anyone like him, Liberatore etc but they must remain part of our game. Who else am I going to hate now that Brett Burton is gone?

For mine, James Hird's article sums it up perfectly:

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl ... 5885921394

Now if the AFL had come out and made a BIG statement about their stance on such matters BEFORE someone was hauled over the coals for it, then it would be much easier to understand and impossible to defend.

Baker got what he deserved, he is a piece of bacteria and doing that sort of crap to your opponent proves he is not good enough to be out there on his football ability alone.
Sure this sort of stuff has been going on since footy started and the AFL need to get consistant with punishments they hand out   , but IMO if you need to go to that extreme to put your opponent off his game you aren't good enough to be out there in the first place. Watching it was sort of funny at first, but he just went too far and in the end I wanted to punch him in the face. Good on Johnson for connecting with the elbow and giving him a stand out shiner!
Wonder if he was playing this week would he put up with his opponent poking him in the eye all bloody day?

Yep, quality article indeed and 100% correct.

Half the people having a sulk in here have probably also had a whinge that AFL footy has become too soft. Cant have it both ways.

Nowhere does Hird say punch blokes. yep I have no problems with bumping, sledging, holding and annoying players but as I said above Baker crossed the line when he started punching.

Yes all teams need to have an agent provocateur as hird said but they ahve to play within the rules or at worst stretch the rules. Baker did neither.

It amazes me to see footballers in suits.
I wonder how high Baker's suit pants are. If they are anything like his shorts he would look comical.
