No it's not.

15.4.5 Prohibited Contact and Payment of Free Kick
A field Umpire shall award a Free Kick against a Player where
he or she is satisfied that the Player has made Prohibited
Contact with an opposition Player.
A Player makes Prohibited Contact with an opposition Player if
he or she:

(e) pushes, bumps, holds or blocks an opposition Player
when the football is further than 5 metres away from
the opposition Player or is out of play;

BARRY Hall's Western Bulldogs teammates will pay a portion of the $3000 fine he received for putting North Melbourne's Scott Thompson in a headlock last Saturday.

Hall will have $1000 of the fine covered by his fellow Dogs, leaving him out of pocket $2000 for his reaction to Thompson's provocation.

At a team meeting on Monday, the 21 other players involved in the match told Hall that they intended to pass the hat around and cover the entire penalty, as is customary at Whitten Oval for wrestling offences, but the full-forward said he was uncomfortable with their generosity.

"He was surprised and refused at first," Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade said.

"He thought he should bear responsibility for what happened, but the players insisted and in the end they came to an arrangement."
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
