The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Took the Mrs yesterday to see this in 3D.

I've only seen the first one and this one, so out of the loop a bit.

There were good action parts, but some of the "twists" were foreshadowed so heavily that you knew what was gonna happen well in advance.

Not good, not bad.

My Mrs will also want to see this.
I've found most of the movies in the series were predictable

Inside Out - Pixar movie about the people who run our minds, emotions, thoughts.

Not bad, not good, not Pixar's best work. Worth watching, the kids will love it and as with all Pixar movies a couple of adult jokes that will have you chuckling along.

I'd say it's a worthy way to kill 1.5 hours on a hot day with the kids in front of the box.

As a special ed teacher I absolutely loved this movie, autistic kids struggle with understanding emotions so I got two terms worth of work out of this movie alone!

Mrs Boon said the same thing, she has several kids on the spectrum (as you learned people say) and she too managed to get quite a bit from it.

Star Wars The Force Awakens. I'm a Star Wars nut but walked away a bit non plussed as I thought it lacked the wow factor.

Agree. Gees I wanted to punch that sad unit a couple of times though...

Daddys Home. Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell.

Rated PG, my advice would be it's a bit "older" than PG, so kids around 10-14 would be at parents discretion.

Typical Ferrell movie, some silly shit, some of it funny some of it not, some Wahlberg muscle scenes for the ladies ( and I guess some men, NTTIAWWT ) and a pretty predictable plot / outcome.

A few good belly laughs. 6/10.

I went on Monday to see this.

I really liked it. How'd you go with the two main sad moments?

Pretty good- our lad has watched anything dinosaur related including Land Before Time which I reckon has a much sadder moment.

I was a mess however...

I think adults will find it sadder than kids would.

Not in the same ballpark IMO.

The Hateful Eight. Not one of Tarantino's finest, mainly because the movie drags along for a couple of hours before the grand finale. Still worth watching if you can spare three hours, as the cast is brilliant, in particular SLJ.

Point Break 2016.

If you want an all action movie filled with plot holes and defying the laws of gravity and physics with no plot twist where the entire movie has been revealed in the preview then do yourself a favour and go see this movie. Perhaps I shouldn't have expected a cinematic masterpiece but I found a lot of this movie hard to take. The original was moderately believable but the direction in this movie appears to have not worried about a lot of the simple things that a semi intelligent person may question. Of all the bullets fired in this movie, no-one at any point changes a magazine or clip, furthermore the murder of police officers need not be questioned I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Oh yeah and Agent John Utah is clearly Batman

I saw it at the Drive In and got some action so all in all I had a fun night but I think this movie might have been more suited to 14 year old Wristy.

It was alright, some of the scenery is beautiful but this is by no means a classic.

Mockingjay part 2

Watched this at the moonlight cinema Friday in Gold Grass.
Spent some of the movie looking to the stars and spotting satellites.

Gold grass section looks as if its growing and feels more crowded than before.

Can order food and they bring it to your bean bag.
Our order was wrong.
The food was cold.
Lesson learnt.
