Agree GWW. Other interesting sub-plots could include the Lillee/Marsh/Hughes fued, Hughes' run-ins with some of his more fiery bowlers eg Hogg, constant battering on the team morale from the Windies. Also wonder about talk in the boardroom at the ACB, when PBL had the marketing rights and were flogging WSC up until the late 80's/early 90's (?) and test cricket crowds were generally poor.

They could do one on the rebel cricket tours accounced early 1985. I always felt the tensions the WSC days never really settled and, just as the main protagonists were retiring, we have the drama of the rebel tours.

Hughes went from being the establishment darling to captaining a rebel team to South Africa

Graeme Yallop also captained the establishment team in 1978-79 but by 1985 was told his playing days for Australia were finished so off he went.

Yallop was the Julia Gillard of Australian cricket. Hopless and had to go although you couldn't question his loyalty and endeavour to do well with a pretty ordinary squad

I didn't mind Yallop. I can recall a couple of big innings of his.

Thought part 2 was very weak, missed some key moments including the famous finish at VFL park when the west Indian hit Mick Malone for 6 of the 2nd last ball to win the match, why would you create a fake CEO? Austin roberston was crucial in signing players but he wasn't mentioned? Very disappointing, thought paper giants was far better!

Not sure if its been mentioned anywhere on the forum already, but apparently Redbacks player Daniel Worrell played Mick Malone in Howzat.
