Haven't seen one of these threads, so apologies if it's been done before.

The other night I watched "Ghost Rider" and whilst I didn't expect much, I was blown away by how carp this movie was!!

Ranks right up there with "Dark City" for mine in the carpness stakes ... So what movies did YOU consider to be woeful?

Yeah it was pretty ordinary.
That chick is the worst actor ever.
Lucky she's hot.

Didn't mind that one eh.
Definitely seen worse.

High School Musical is the worst moofie ever.
My ex made me sit through that one night and I felt like shooting myself afterwards.

A blast from the past: The Big Chill
That wasted hour or two is etched into my memory forever.

Possibly, I've never seen it. But I have seen those pictures of Vanessa Hudgens. She ain't the shabbiest looking actress on the planet.

Worst movies, in no particular order:

Weird Science. There is only so far I can suspend my belief in reality, and this movie took it way past that point.

Some Kind Of Wonderful. Tried to watch this on 3 separate occasions, having been enamoured with the soundtrack (Flesh for Lulu - "I Go Crazy"), and managed to give up in disgust at the 20 minute mark each time.

The Piano. What wasn't boring was depressing. Nice music, nothing else. I would have asked for my money back had it not been the second leg of a double feature. "Peter's Friends" was the other movie, and was rather good.

The English Patient. Possibly the most boring, monotonous hogwash ever put on celluloid. Three entire godforsaken minute-stretching hours of nothing in particular. The only highlight was where where Juliet Binoche breaks into tears as she prepares to euthanise Ralph Fiennes. I laughed out loud at this point, much to the annoyance of the old ladies around me. I had to bite my lip as the same old ladies filed out of the cinema afterwards, tears pouring down their faces.

Dr T and The Women. Starred Richard Gere. Stumbled across it accidentally one night and couldn't turn off, for fear we might miss something worse than the moment prior.

Intolerable Cruelty - certainly was. How someone usually reliable like George Clooney could be in this was strange.

Pirates of The Caribbean - I know how popular it is, but found it mind numbing, boring, totally lacking in any sort of interest, and these were the highlights. Closest I've come to walking out of a movie.

LOL I enjoyed it for what it was ... All personal opinion of course, but IMHO it doesn't come close to some of the others mentioned.

Striptease was another scheizenhouse flick imho (bar the obvious 2 highlights attached to Demi Moore)

The Paris Hilton 'expose' ?

This is actually a tough question of sorts because

a) I dont usually bother toughing out a crap flick (other than at the cinema)
b) I bother less to commit bad movies to memory!

Probably loads that I've managed to erase from my memory but the ones that instantly spring to mind would be...

Blair Witch Project....might be because it was so hyped up but god it was just so tedious you were willing them to die so it would finish.

Food of the Gods...a dreadful 70's mutant giant animals eat people film...special effects that were laughable eg people being attacked by giant chickens

Squirm...downed powerline hits a worm farm and creates killer worms that attack people...god the 70's were good for carp monster flicks

Must admit I love the Pirates of the Caribbean films but my potentially controversial dislikes would be ALL 007 films and ALL Carry On films.

Regards
JAS

I think the Carry on films were great. Except the last two or three.

The original team, Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Sims, Breslaw, Hawtrey, Connor et all we comedy genius.

But I guess it comes down to taste.

I had approx my 8th go at watching past Melissa George's norks the other day and finally managed to do so, not sure why I bothered though because I didn't think it improved at all.

BTW, the last cinema walkout I had was Tom Cruise's "Magnolia", has anyone seen it and if so how would you rate it?
