I red Dead by Friday not to long ago. It's about the murder of Carolyn Matthews in her home in West Lakes. Some people are just F'd up

Not the sharpest tools in the shed, were they? Flashing murder contracts around, cuddling up to each other at family shows, hotel check-ins and outs in 3-4 hours.

I was laughing at their stupidity whilst reading it. Can't believe he had his kids find her first and that he thinks he's innocent. He's where he should be

yep I was in the same boat. Funny thing was I went to school down the road from where they met at their kids school to talk about the contract.

Consider Phlebas - Iain M. Banks. One of Mr McSpaz's favourite authors. He was quite delighted when I asked to read it. I figured, I made him read The Hunger Games so it was my turn to read one of his favourites.

Add the dystopian future from Brazil.
Give it a quest like Lord of the Rings.
Finally mix in as many references to pop culture phenomena from the 1980s as you can fit on each page. Music, movies, video games, they're all there.

Alex Fergusons autobiography looks like it will be good.

Apparently it comes out on the 24th October.

"Mark Bosnich was a terrible professional," Ferguson wrote in the book.

Ferguson adds in the book, to be officially published on October 24, that he tried to pull out of a deal to sign Bosnich in 1999.

"Mark got off to a real bad start. He turned up for training three hours late. He was overweight," Ferguson added at the press conference.

Ferguson was more effusive when writing about another Socceroo, Tim Cahill.

"Tim Cahill was on the radar and he had a lot of really good qualities.

"He had a terrific career for Everton, scored a lot of goals for them.

"Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you bring some in that you thought were a benefit to the club, sometimes with players you lose."
In his autobiography, Ferguson also claims the Football Association approached him twice to take over as England manager.

"It didn't take me long to decide, 10 seconds. There was no way in a million years I could manage England.

"Imagine me going back to Scotland after that, dearie me. Of England, it was a great opportunity to relegate them."

Finished- the book went into great detail about Hussey's progression through the cricketing ranks (almost a game by game play)- which can be expected given the man is nicknamed Mr. Cricket. Didnt go into as much detail regarding his life off of the field as what some of the other cricketers (such as McGrath and Gilchrist) have in their books.

All in all a good read- a mighty long wait for the baggy green and many battles (with both the exterior opinion of Hussey as a cricketer and his personal insecurities surrounding whether or not he was good enough) overcome to achieve his goal, which turned into an incredibly celebrated career featuring 19 centuries, a world cup triumph and an ashes victory.

I got 2 books i'm really keen to get into. The Rise of the Swans, bit of history but mostly focuses on the last 10 or so years... Also got the new steve waugh book, always a good read, legend!
