Never really been a huge Rolling Stones fan but over the last few months I have read "Ronnie" by Ron Wood, "Life" by Keith Richards and "The Rolling Stones Fifty Years" by Christopher Sandford.
Enjoyed all 3 even if they all cover similar territory/stories. Reading the books led to the reopening of my (small) Stones audio collection and on to buying a couple of Blu ray concerts.
Classic stuff!

Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th by Peter M. Bracke.

A warts and all memoir with over 200 interviews with all the people involved in the Friday The 13th movie franchise. Such an engrossing read via the enhanced Kindle ebook version more than 1200 pages long with over 700 photos from the movies. I've just hit Part 8 in the series and am pissed off because the end of this book is nigh.

Definitely.

Back when Nelson George, James Bernard and Reginald C. Dennis were contributors.

This great piece explains where it all went wrong...

Top 50 list includes Kanye.

But not Jeru, Raekwon, Ghostface, Grand Puba or Kool Keith.

Seriously...

Not what you think. A love story - starting with first forays and ending with AIDS.
An important read if you wish to understand how that disease ripped relationships apart and scared the bejesus out of everyone in the 80s and early 90s. Not an important read if you're squeamish or disagree with homosexuality.

Borrowed it from a work mate and read it in about 2 hours. Couldn't put it down, very funny.

Just downloaded QF32 onto the Kindle and am about to get into it. I picked up the book in a book shop and read a few random pages and was immediately drawn to it. It's the true story of the QANTAS A380 that blew an engine and was lucky to make a safe landing due to the skills of captain Richard de Crespigny, who is the author of the book.
People who bought this book also bought a stool and some rope. Unknown literary critic

Started reading this a few weeks ago. Still not up to the Julian Assange part, but the story of the young American hackers is very interesting.
