Be Kind, Rewind - pointless and not at all funny. Avoid this pile of brown and steaming smelly stuff.

Kevin Kostner later did a similarly styled movie called The Postman which also had him cast as the misfit/loner hero fighting bad guys straight out of Mad Max

It also was pretty bad

TBH CP, I saw Waterworld on the big screen and found it entertaining enough and not the disaster I was expecting

I haven't seen it since and I suspect it would have dated

The Postman was good in bits but overall I gave it a "bad" rating because I remember being very disappointed with it when I saw it even though I had high hopes because I too am an "apocolyptic" fan.

There's a new movie coming out called "The Road" with Viggo Mortenson playing a father travelling with his son trying to survive in a post-apocolyptic world. There's cannibal gangs in utes to keep away from. Looks good!

Be Kind, Rewind

Might've worked as a funny Tropfest short.

Instead of a painfully annoying 102 minute feature.

That's the one!

Got Bliss sitting on my shelf but haven't got around to reading it yet.

Peter Carey wisely stuck to novels...

I can't remember the name of this movie but it's been on Channel 7 at midday a couple of times. Every so often between scenes they'd insert a clock that ran backwards. It was about these two women and one of them was married to a big rich prick and they conspired with another guy wearing a cowboy hat to kill the first guy and get all his money. The only good thing about the movie was the ending, where the two chicks somehow ended up handcuffed to each other in the wilderness, and one of them broke her leg or something so they couldn't go anywhere. The last scene had a shot of their half-decomposed bodies lying in the grass.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

Easily one of the worst movies EVER. Mel Brooks has superb comedic talent, but surrounding himself with C-grade actors in an unfunny spoof was NOT the way to show it off.

Bill Pullman, John Candy & Rick Moranis are/were C-grade actors?!
Sure it's not brilliant, but nowhere near one of the worst ever.

Pullman is woeful and Moranis is as funny as dried snot. Can't knock Candy though but no one hits a winner every time.

Pullman 3 awards http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000597/awards
Moranis 3 awards http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001548/awards

At least some people give them some credit.
