Watched it tonight and I wasn't all that impressed.

Won't give it away, but the theme and style of the conclusion had too much of a cheesy 'chick flick' feel to it IMO.

I found it mostly satisfying, certainly better than the lame 'Starbuck was just a ghost' BSG finale. Still lots to think about but I like the way it has all slotted together. Found some of the reunions - even for characters I didn't much like - very emotional, was blubbing away like Simon Goodwin

For some reason I didn't have much of a reaction to the reunions other than be annoyed at the predictability and cheese factor.
The score persistently irked me as well.

Overall throughout the series I preferred any scene on the island to much of what took place elsewhere.

Each to own, but I enjoyed the BSG ending (Starbuck aside) over Lost.
Ashes to Ashes (with similar themes) possibly ends better than either.

Watched it again tonight - not with ads though - and enjoyed it even more.

One thing that was really interesting - the first version I saw just ended at the Lost logo and faded to black. What I didn't realise was that there was some extra footage missing that should have played during the closing credits which is a nice, dark little twist after all the hugs and backslaps in the last 10 minutes. Almost like the writers couldn't resist one more little puzzle to solve. :)

Camera panning around a plane wreck. Is it Oceanic 815 or the Ajira plane that supposedly took off with Sawyer, Kate etc minutes before? I'm guessing the latter since Jack turned the island back 'on' just prior it it taking off. And why are there footprints around the wreck?

i got 'lost' after season two so haven't seen much of it for years an episode here or there, same mumbo jumbo and didn't help when i flicked on to foxtel and showed the ending in most watched and glad i didn't watch because if i sat there for two hours and the thing was that they were dead all along i would've put a hole in my t.v from making me lose sleep.

like come on how do you make a island move or disappear
