Televised canonisation of Mary Mackillop

Postby Media Park » Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:10 pm

Yeah yeah, we've all heard about this for a while now, and todays the big day.

Question is, with this going to be more mind numbing than the Commonwealth Games, what will you be watching instead?

Times and channels to avoid:

7TWO: 6pm to 730pm

ABC24: 530pm to 730pm

SKY news: 330pm onwards, crossing to the VATICAN at 6pm

Seven: 630pm until eternity

ABC1: 7pm straight to the VATICAN.

On the radio, it's 6pm on 972AM- live broadcast.

I'm not a Catholic follower but i found the story of her life truly inspiring.
Never see a need and pass by.
This miracle stuff i'm less convinced of, but nonetheless her actual life is a story of helping others, with few resources at her disposal.

An organisation that won't allow female Priests allows female Saints.
An organisation that routinely covers up child abuse charges makes a Saint of someone who exposed it.
The special on the History channel had George Pell discussing morales with Alan Jones.

Where to start????
