Certainly was, I was stoked as North have their B&Fs there (John DeFreide Centre) too and its on the one North function where I can purchase longnecks of Coopers Pale Ales.

I think I saw you there Wedgie - tried quickly to connect the fact to photos you have put on here but wasn't sure enough to say g'day!
It was a great night - some AFL club needs to grab Mick Nunan as a coaching advisor I reckon!

Looked like a great night, can't wait until the dogs start having premiership anniversaries.
1 comment thought - there looked to be some very high blood pressures in that 'team' photo. More red faces than a raid on a Canberra brothel.

They're in the group photo with everyone else, only Peter Simmons was missing from the side.

Yes very interesting photos. North played brilliantly that day, i was so glad as a neutral spectator at the game that North won after the Bays winning the previous 2 flags.
Would be interesting to know if there was any tension during the night between A Jarman and Nunan, given Jars move to Norwood a few years back (and the events that led up to it).

None that was evident, Jarman was actually very praising of Nunan when he recently won induction into the SANFL Hall of Fame.
Definate tension between Jarman and another player and interesting to note the premeirship captain didn't get up to be interviewed, the people interviewed were John Riley, Mick Redden, David Wildy, Mick Parsons and Mick Nunan

Yeah, its because through his company he does work in monitoring the United players fitness, etc he also has an interest in soccer as his young son (must be a fair gap between his kids!!) plays soccer. He's not involved with AU at all on match days.
Very interesting man, I have no doubt he'd be able to still coach at the top level.

Im a quick typer mate, 60wpm.

Only one of 2 people to get an A in typing in Year 9 and beat the others in speed tests (even all the girls) when I was on TAFE.
Was doing a lot of programming when I was a kid so taught myself to type quicker as it makes it a lot easier.

Just trying to remember who the premiership captain was.....was it someone who subsequently coached the Roosters?

Also, was Chris McDermott there in his capacity as a former NA coach?

I get the impression that elements of the club are not too ecstatic about Darel Hart's coaching stint there.
Whether or not that's why he didn't speak who knows? It seemed like they picked guys who were used to speaking publicly like Wildy (who didn't even play in the GF) and 'Bristles' Parsons who used to do the 1/4 and 3/4 time wraps on the coaches addresses for the ABC.
Mick Redden was the most entertaining speaker while Nunan was the most compelling to listen to. He even took credit for Blighty's tactic of using Fud one on one in the forward 50 which helped the Crows to 2 flags (1/2 tongue in cheek, 1/2 serious I reckon)

Why didn't Wildy play that day? I rate him as a radio broadcaster, always worth a listen.

Group photos? Where? I can only see Fudd... Not a great idea to put him in the front row...
