Give the Crows player the best player...

Postby spell_check » Sun Aug 19, 2007 7:02 pm

I did think McGregor played well, top 5 best players maybe, but to give him the best player for what seems to be on the back of two tackles is to me a classic case of an AFL player being given the "Star Treatment".

Even more amusing is this, the 2nd tackle noted:

"The Eagles stretched their lead to eight points two minutes later when a brilliant run-down from the Crows forward opened a path for Sam Fairclough, who slotted the running attempt to seal the defending premiers' win"

The tackle was laid by Mark Passador!

Agree Spelly - I watched most of the game and I wouldn't have picked Kenny as best

And to think Doug Roberston got "moved on' for his inaccurate match reporting!

Agreed, I thought Motlop was comfortably Norths best players and he didn't even get in North's top 5 according to the mail.

"AFL star treatment" is exactly what I thought when the Jack Oatey Medal was presented last year.

Thats ok Pseudo because CICA should have had that medal but hey thats life.
AFL start treatment happened in WWT two's last year when Scott Welsh had to play for them.I am not complaining about his 10 goal haul for the club.but the umpires were paying him marks that Clearly Oakley had first grab .MMM no umpire thread for that game. :D
