SA Football Commission Vacancy

Postby Wedgie » Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:13 pm

Rucci wrote in today's paper that there was rumours doing the rounds that John Kantilaftas or Glenn Elliott might be in line for the job, from a North supporter's point of view I'd hate to lose Glenn as he's been nothing short of sensational as CEO of our club.

I think that Ecky, Wedgie or Spelly should get the post. Do not know of any others who have quite the same passion for the SANFL and have sound ideas about which way to head with it.
I know that is not going to happen, but wouldn't it be nice!
Cheers

Yes, it would be a good career move to give up a well-paid full-time job to sit on the Commission as for a travel allowance.

More evidence required.

Its only Rucci's Roast so I don't know about evidence, but can someone do both or do they have to give up their club role?
Maybe there's further to the evidence in that John or Glenn might have been offered higher paying jobs in private enterprise perhaps?
Anyway, I just hope its wrong!

In all seriousness, I do think that both John and Glenn would do a good job if offered. Both have certainly been in charge of clubs that are heading in the right direction.

I think its more appropriate for a retired commisioner, I wouldnt think they could hold a current position with a club - that would be the only thing stopping CEO's/General Managers as its only a very part time role

They would have to give up their Club job and presumably find another job not connected with a Club.
