The eags are hitting very good form and are slowly getting their players back. It wont be easy for us :-#
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Interesting that Klunny got BOG for Iggles' reserves yesterday. Was he dropped for form, injury, girth?
He played very well against us last time.

Should be a good game. Will Sturt get their 10th win against The Eagles? Suppose we have to wait to Saturday.

I think Pedler will come straight back in. Can only assume he was dropped because of the weather conditions last week? Redden and Giuffreda were found out on several occasions against the bigger opponents they were forced to match up on.

I'd probably give Pedler the job on Chambers and move Hier up the field on to Herring. Hier and Pedler can always be swapped if things don't work out, whereas if Pedler doesn't play and Chambers gets on top of Hier, we'd have no other options except to take Salter back, which I'd be reluctant to do given the form he is in up forward.

Passador should return to the league team as well. Gives another option up forward. As I've said previously, Grocke and Salter are agile enough to allow our big 4 to play in the forward line and still keep pressure on the opposition back line.

I'm assuming Cooper will be an out with injury this week and I'd give Duncan and Giuffreda a run in the 2's, bringing in Petrenko to give some pace off the bench.

I'd start something like this...

F: Symmons Schwarze Passador
HF: Salter Grocke Cicolella
C: Jarrad Powell Treeby
HB: Redden Hier Colville
B: J.Stewart Pedler P.Fiacchi
R: Lindsay Vince Lomas
I: Dabrowski Fairclough Petrenko

Inkster far from match-fit and will play in Magoos again this week. Pat G. has been an honest toiler for us but his lack of pace and awareness is starting to tell and should be dropped for Pedler. Duncan needs a run in ressies as well so Klunk or Petrenko should be given a run. Vital game for Eags as you can bet Ricky will have Strut pumped after their loss earlier in the season to us and the desire to break that 11 game losing streak before we may play them in the finals.

Duncan was flat due to the flu during the week....

Klun was coming back from injury....

Passador in up forward, Shwarze back to CHB, Hier on Chambers (killed him twice last year), Inkster needs more game time in the reserves....

Lookout for the next untried junior to be promoted....could he be Jared Petrenko, Lee Staple, Brad Geddes, Mathew Broadbent, or Sam Davoren?

Ron does it very year from here in......

Would not think Staples would get called up yet too young and skinny.
Petrenko or Geddes if Klun does not get called up is my tip.I think after last saturday's game the eagles need more pace

Excellent observations Wedgetail.

Aerie - not a bad team you have picked, but I would only start with three talls up forward and have Pass on the bench.

Agreed that Ron will elevate an untried player, I don't think Broadbent will be the one as he is still playing school footy.

Would like to see Geddes get a go - has exquisite skills but lack of match time this year due to a broken arm might tell against him. Two weeks ago the Power sent a scout to specifically watch Geddes.

The next two weeks are vitally important to the Eagles.
