Some people have requested I create individual club sub forums in here but I don't think its warranted with the great forums available now for all SANFL fans.

If Westies fans want me to create a forum for them to see how it goes give me a hoy.

I don't think there would be much warrant in putting individual club forums on here, that just take's the point away from the forums above.

This little (amusing) tit-bit of info is the lead intro story on the 2nd South Fans Website listed above http://www.panthers.ozcollins.com/

It takes a special type of person to be a Panthers fan. You must be able to shrug off over a century of official skullduggery designed to prevent the South Adelaide Football Club from ever reaching the heights it attained in the 1890's.
Starting with the allocation of clubs to zones comprising electoral districts after Souths 6 Premierships and 3 Runners-ups in the 1890's, the "zone" has been the main weapon of the other clubs. Often waiting for the Panthers to develop their juniors and just before they graduate into the senior ranks the so called "Zoning Commission" would with the declared intent of creating an "Equal Playing Field" change the boundaries with all the zeal of goldrush claimjumpers.
Despite all this there are dedicated Panthers fans all over the world. Just waiting for the South to rise again and return the club to it's proper position at the top of the SANFL ladder.

AND WON'T WE MAKE THE MOST OF IT!!!!

Official skullduggery - Some of you South people are quite delusional if you are using the 1890's changes and subsequent re-zonings as an excuse for lack of success!!!   Still if you believe it, then it must be right and that's all that matters

Right well i guess if it happened around 1890 then hey over 100 years later nobody would expect you to win any games.

I personally thought it was a very witty piece of journalism and enjoyed it!

Neither delusional nor amusing. Just historical. (please no "hysterical" jokes)

I wonder if 100 years from now Bulldogs fans will be upset 'cos their zone starts at Burra?

Could happen.

Okay spirit - with that mentality carried on for over 100 years it is no wonder South have struggled for identity and success. Why were the powers to be at South in the 60's and 70's not more pro-active in getting South based in their heartland?

In the 60s and 70s South's heartland was exactly where they were, ie between Adelaide and St Marys.

Noarlunga at that stage would have consisted of 2 farmers, 3 holiday shacks, 5 cows and 16 sheep.

OK Wedgie  probably should have said the late 70's and 80's when the south was expanding.

G'day guys,

I was hoping y'all might be able to help me, I've posted on all clubs Forums (except PAMFC, but I'm hoping Booney can help me with this) just looking for some feedback on the catering performance/quality at Norwood Oval ... So far I've received excellent responses from the Snouts, Roosters & Doggies fans ... Would greatly appreciate it if others could provide some feedback next time they're visiting their club forums...

Thanks in advance,
CP
