I've bought the budget in the first 2 weeks and I have to say, at $3 I reckon it's a bit over priced for what you get. What do others think?

I like it and don't mind paying the $3 as its a high quality looking publication, yes it could do with more content then the quality would have to drop or the price would have to go up, I think they've got it about right at the moment.

i think $3.00 is fine, any higher would start getting up a bit but remember you get every game in the budget, where as in the record for afl games you only get the game you are at, which is probably fine here,wa,nsw, qld but what if your in victoria ? & wanted to go to 3 or 4 games over the weekend you'd have to buy 3 or 4 records at least with a budget it can be used on a friday, saturday & sunday
so yes a lot better value than the record & as i said $3.00 is fine with me

I'm happy to pay $3 but wish there was a lot more content. Bring back the Phantom. I'd be happy to pay more if the content was improved.
It runs out about half-way through an average dunny visit whereas the AFL Record would see you through a severe case of gastro.

Seconded. That's what's lacking in the Budget.

Well if the pages weren't so glossy you wouldn't need to use that many...

I would like more head to head stats in it....
$3 is ok.
It wouldnt bother me if they used a poor quality paper, as in the past, to keep prices down

I was happy with the one I got in the first round - and the fact it has all the games is a bonus for mine.
Maybe nice to see a few more player interviews in it - but it's pretty good I reckon.

if you are in victoria you dont need to buy separate records.

$3 is fine - I'm one of these tight bastards that uses the same issue for a few weeks if only for the player lists.

Spot on Straydog !!!
There should be greater analysis of games & MORE 'retro' rounds.
I too struggle to 'finish the job' BEFORE I've nothing more to read

Real issue with the Budget
Quiz is no longer a stretch as all questions are seemingly within the magazine..ie who is the captain of...
Used to make half time, now just a distraction as Norwood conceeds another goal

I buy it each week, but it's probably not quite worth $3.
The AFL record is $3.50 and it contains FAR more information.
