RESERVES

PA 12.11
CD 14.11

BEST:
PA - Hughes, Carr, Stanley, Beinke, C Miller
CD - Wilson, Mackenzie, Brading, Agars, Capgreco, Currie

GOALS:
PA - Hughes 5; Watson, Clinch, Phillips, Broadbridge, Stanley, C Miller
CD - Brading 4; Agars 3; Mullins 2; Pfitzner, O'Hara, Sajewicz, Baldwin, Mills

6 goals unanswered in the 3rd quarter was the catalyst for the Bulldogs victory. The Dogs had controlled a lot of the first half but errant kicking let them down. They trialled by 7 points at the main break.

It was the tall forwards that led the way after half time. Brading, Agars, Mullins and Pfitzner all got on top and helped the Dogs to the victory. The margin flattered the Magpies in the end after they kicked the last 3 goals of the match.

Still the Magpies would have taken some positives out of the match. Todd Hughes kicked 5 up forward after playing on a back flank all last year. Dan Stanley, Dylan Beinke and Matthew Rotolo all played well, as did old timer Tom Carr.

The experienced names led the way mostly for the Dogs with Adrian Wilson dominating from start to finish. Elijah Ware had a great first half before hitting the showers early, whilst Sean Brading kicked 4 goals.

SENIORS

PA 15.13
CD 10.9

BEST:
PA - Perry, J Clayton, LeCras, Waterhouse, Dolling, Lees, M Clayton
CD - Callinan, Schiller, Thomas

GOALS:
PA - LeCras, Waterhouse 4; Dolling 3; Harry, H Miller, Jenner, Slattery
CD - J Westhoff 2; Lawry, Slattery, Thomas, McGhie, Schiller, Dutshcke, Stengle

A 5 goal to 1 last term has seen the Magpies triumph over the Bulldogs in the main game today. After the Magpies kicked away in the first half, Centrals got to within a kick at the last change before the Magpies kicked away with the aid of the blustery wind.

After Centrals kicked the opening two goals of the game, Port kicked 6 unanswered goals to midway through the second term. LeCras and Waterhouse both had two on the board as they worked well in tandem at CHF anf FF respectively.

Centrals hit back with the aid of the wind in the 3rd quarter as Port couldnt recreate their first term effort. Goals to Slattery, Westhoff and McGhie saw them trail by only 7 points at the last break.

Two quick goals to Dolling and LeCras eased the contest for the Magpies as they went on to win by 34 points.

The Magpies will be pleased with the form of a lot of their players today. Their recruits all looked the part as Joel Perry was dominant across CHB, LeCras kicked 4 goals in a strong display at CHF, whilst Harry Miller, Luke Jarjoura and Justin Perkins all had their moments. It was the form of the younger guys who had a taste of senior football last year that was most pleasing. Both Mark Dolling and Steven Summerton put in strong displays to put their bid in for a round 1 place. Both found the ball in close and seemed to add a yard of pace as well.

Centrals had a more even display, with Ian Callinan and Tom Schiller being the standouts. Justin Westhoff kicked two up forward whilst Jonathon Giles put in a decent display in the ruck in the first half.

Elstone injured his hammy, looks pretty bad.

Clive was dominant until he got reported.

Clive Watercloset was reported in the match today under the new AFL inspired 'good looks' policy. Watercloset is suspended for 127 matches for being butt ugly and frightening children away from attending Port Magpies matches. The controversial new reportable offence looks certain to effectively end Watercloset's flickering football career. In a pleasing postscript, Clive has been given a job out at Adelaide airport sniffing luggage.

Clive Watercloset..we salute you!

regards,

REB

Port looked good today. Jarjoula and H.Miller were very good.

Didnt get a programme so couldnt do a full report on their best.

As for Doggies. Callinan dominant. Schiller Williams and J.Westhoff impressed . Dutschke had a good second half.

Thought we would get flogged pregame with so many senior players out. But was quite happy with the result.

Who the hell is Tom Schiller?
Where'd he play? Where's he come from?

Short, very very quick rover/small forward. Good skills. Very impressive.

JJ would have been keen to impress. Did he do any of his Eddie Hocking-style sell the dummy play-ons?

what are Port thinking recruiting Jajoura? They all ready have the worst individual footballer in the league in Clive so why they would want another is hard to believe! I cannot see Port challenging with these 2 in the team. I would think jajoura will be out of their league team by round 4!
sturt have lost nothing with his departure.

It makes me laugh how people think Clive is shit, slow, fat, useless. They are the same people who pretend to know anything about football.

Clive Shithouse had the potential to be a great footballer only if someone could of taught him how to harness all that energy, he is still uncoordinated and still lacks discipline, therefore he should finish his footy carrer by playing for the Para Hills soccer club.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!
